In the winter we have “kicks” to borrow free of charge in the Reception.
When riding You simply “kick” the sledge from behind to the front (hence the name ) with one foot resting on one of the runners and the other foot kicking it´s way into the ground. The sledge is being driven forward while holding the crossbar with your hands . You may then notice that on flat ground You get as much speed through kicking against the ground as by the subsequent forward swing of the leg , which takes place in a steady rhythm.
When the sledge has evolved enough speed, You can rest both feets on the runners and control the sledge by twisting your body.
