Shopping Near Hestraviken
Groceries and Sports: In Hestra (3 km), you will find a grocery store (Tempo), a gas station (Preem), as well as Hestra Radio & Sport and Roupéz ski shop, where you can buy equipment and Hestra gloves all year round.
Flowers and Gifts: A charming shop in Hestra’s old station house where you can find everything from beautiful flowers to unique gifts. Perfect for a small shopping excursion!
Handicrafts and Artisan Work: Gislaved’s artisans host a summer exhibition at Toppstugan on Isaberg (3 km), selling local crafts. Open daily from June 20 to August 9, 12:00–18:00.
Hestra Gloves – Iconic Gloves from Hestra
Many guests ask where they can buy the popular Hestra gloves, and we have great news! Hestra gloves, known for their quality and timeless design, are available at Hestra Radio & Sport in the town center and at Roupéz Ski Shop on the mountain.
Hestra Gloves, a family-owned company founded in 1936, originated here in Hestra. With a focus on high-quality materials and craftsmanship, they offer gloves for everything from alpine sports and outdoor activities to everyday wear.

Second-Hand and Antiques
Gnosjö Hjälper: One of Sweden’s largest second-hand stores is in Gnosjö (10 km). Three floors of bargains, with proceeds going to charity. Open Thursdays 14:00–18:00 and Saturdays 10:00–14:00.
Limmared – A Paradise for Retro and Antiques
Just a 25-minute drive from Hestraviken lies Limmared, a historic glassworks town that has transformed into a treasure trove for vintage and retro lovers. Here, you’ll find numerous shops specializing in antiques, retro items, and second-hand treasures – perfect for those who love to browse unique finds.
Along Storgatan in Limmared, there are 14 charming stores with different specialties, offering everything from antique furniture and beautiful clocks to retro vases and clothing from the 1950s and 1970s.
Stores are open on Tuesdays from 14:00–18:00 and Saturdays from 10:00–14:00, but the highlight of the year is Antique Week in week 30. During this event, Limmared welcomes visitors from all over the country, with more exhibitors, extended opening hours, and events that attract antique and retro enthusiasts of all ages.
