Safety During Your Stay
Important to Know
The first few minutes are often crucial in a serious incident. While waiting for an ambulance, everyone can make a difference, and every action matters.
Our staff is trained in first aid (LABC). Please contact the reception or a staff member for assistance.
We also have first aid supplies such as band-aids, compresses, eye wash, etc. Contact the reception for help.
There are two defibrillators – one in the restaurant and one in Riverside Spa. Our staff is trained in first aid (CPR).
Knowledge creates safety
You should always locate the nearest emergency exits, alarm buttons, and fire extinguishers. If you notice any safety hazards, please report them to the reception immediately. Our staff is trained in fire extinguishing and evacuation procedures.
If you discover a fire
Alert the hotel reception at 0370336800 or call 112 from a safe location (Emergency address: Hestraviken, Restaurangvillan, Hestra, Gislaved Municipality).
If the corridor is filled with smoke – stay in your room
Take your room key if you leave the room – you may encounter smoke and need to return
If the fire is small and contained – use a fire extinguisher
If you cannot extinguish the fire, close the door to the burning room
If the fire alarm sounds
Leave your room only if the corridor is smoke-free
Take your room key and exit through the nearest evacuation route
Never use the elevator
If you cannot leave your room
Call the reception or 112 and inform them of your location
Seal ventilation openings and door gaps with wet towels
Move flammable objects away from windows
Stand by the window and signal for help
If the room fills with smoke, open a window for fresh air
Do not jump. Wait for rescue personnel
In a smoke-filled room, stay low to the ground where air is clearer

All our rooms are equipped with fire alarms and smoke detectors
The Herrgårdsvillan rooms 42-48, relax area, gym, Spavillan with Riverside Spa, rooms 50-58, and the restaurant have a direct alarm connection to emergency services
Alarm buttons are located near the entrance doors of Herrgårdsvillan, Spavillan, and in the restaurant (on the wall in the hallway before the bar)
Respect all evacuation alarms – leave the building even if you do not see fire or smoke
Fire extinguishers
Fire extinguishers are located outside your room near entrances or in the corridors
Evacuation
Every room has two evacuation routes: the entrance door and the balcony or terrace door
Do not use elevators. Close doors behind you to slow the spread of fire

If you need basic first aid supplies, painkillers, etc., they are available at the reception.
The nearest emergency department is in Värnamo, about 40 km from Hestraviken.
Call 112 in case of an emergency.

What time is check-in?
Check-in is available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival.
What time is check-out?
For individual guests, check-out is no later than 11:00 AM on the day of departure. For conferences and groups, check-out is no later than 10:00 AM.

If you need an early check-in or late check-out, please contact us, and we will do our best to find a suitable solution for you.

Yes, we offer mountain bike rentals during the season. Canoes and boats are available to borrow. Contact the reception for more information and booking.
We do not offer traditional room service, but you can order certain dishes and pick them up at the restaurant during its opening hours.
We have a small gym at the hotel, located in Herrgårdsvillan, and we offer excellent running and walking trails nearby.
If you have forgotten your toothbrush, toothpaste, or other essentials, a small selection is available for purchase at our reception.
No, but we have a small shop in the reception where you can buy snacks, candy, and selected products. The nearest larger store is in Hestra, about a 5-minute drive away.
Yes, we offer free Wi-Fi in all rooms and common areas. “Hestraviken Guest” is the network you connect to.
Riverside Spa is available for guests with booked spa packages or as an add-on to your stay. We recommend booking your spa time in advance. Treatments are booked separately.
We also have a relaxation area with a massage pool and sauna, which can be booked for private use. Younger children are also welcome there. Contact the reception for reservations.
Our outdoor pool area is open during the summer season, usually from May to September, depending on weather conditions.

The pool is only available to hotel guests.
The pool area is not supervised, and all swimming is at your own risk.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Running and jumping from the pool edge are not allowed.
Outside food and drinks are not permitted, as the area has a serving license.
Food and drinks may only be consumed in designated areas.
Glass and porcelain are not allowed by the pool.
Towels are available to borrow at the reception.
At Hestraviken, we offer secure storage for your bicycle during your stay.
Locked space: We have a locked space where you can store your bicycle indoors. Contact the reception for access.
Electric bike charging: If you have an electric bike, there is a charging option available – ask us at the reception for more information.

Important to know: As long as you arrive by the indicated time, you can take your time ordering and enjoying your meal. The restaurant remains open even after we stop accepting new guests.
Food & drinks
We offer a varied selection of dishes. In addition to à la carte options, we also have lighter alternatives such as salads, sandwiches, and pastries. On weekdays between 12:00–14:00, a daily special is also served from a buffet.

If you have booked a package that includes meals, we have already reserved a table for you. The dinner time is stated in your booking confirmation, but if you have a preferred time, please contact us in advance.

We offer dog-friendly rooms in Villa 4, Villa 5, and our standalone cabins. Please note that the availability of these rooms is not visible in our online booking system, so we recommend contacting us directly to book and ensure a dog-friendly room is available.
Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, but they are warmly welcome on our outdoor terrace during the warmer months.

Wheelchair-friendly rooms: The best options for wheelchair users are in the Spa Villa, where the bathrooms and door widths are extra spacious.
Specially adapted room: We also have a specially adapted room in Villa 5, equipped with toilet arm supports, a shower stool, and a lower sink for increased accessibility.
Parking: We offer designated parking spaces near the entrances for guests with reduced mobility.

Treatments and day spa can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before the booked time.
Swimwear is available for purchase on-site.
Did you forget your swimwear or don’t have your own? No worries! At Riverside Spa, you can buy swimwear on-site so you can enjoy your spa experience without any concerns.
We offer a selected style in both women’s and men’s sizes, designed to provide a comfortable and smooth fit. Perfect for those who decide on a spontaneous visit or simply forgot to pack their swimwear.
Ask us on-site, and we’ll assist you! Welcome to swim, relax, and enjoy – with or without your own swimwear.
At Riverside Spa, we offer a relaxing environment where you can order selected drinks, such as champagne, cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options. We also have lighter snacks for an enjoyable experience.
For a more extensive meal, we recommend a visit to our restaurant or ordering something to enjoy before or after your spa visit. Outside food and drinks are not permitted in the spa area.

Our Riverside Spa is a place for rest and relaxation that must be respected. In our fire relaxation area, complete silence is required.
For day spa guests with an included breakfast or lunch buffet, these should be enjoyed before or after in our restaurant.
Remember to inform us of any food allergies well in advance of your visit.
The number of guests in Riverside Spa is limited for everyone’s comfort, so it’s important that you stick to your booked time.
If you have a gift card, you must call or email us to make a reservation. You will need to provide your gift card number when booking.

If you are a hotel guest, a bathrobe will be available in your hotel room so that you can change there. Towels and slippers will be provided at the spa reception when you check in. Showers must be taken before bathing in our changing rooms.
If you are a day spa guest, you will check in at the spa reception and receive your bathrobe, slippers, and towel there. Changing and showering before bathing must take place in our changing rooms.
Shoes should be removed outside the spa entrance and placed in the shoe rack.
In our spa, the age limit is 15 years, except during certain school holidays at specific times when children from 8 years old are also welcome. Up to 18 years old, it is required to be accompanied by an adult during the visit.
On the following dates, children aged 8-14 are also welcome during daytime hours from 9:00-13:00 or 14:00-17:00. The number of spots is limited, and pre-booking is required.
